Mrs. Payne has enjoyed teaching Kindergarten at Cross & Crown School since January 2009.

She graduated from Mercer University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Christianity. Afterwards, she attended the McAfee School of Theology and graduated with a Master of Divinity degree.

While her daughter was in preschool and she was attending seminary, she worked as a recreation director/minister at Smoke Rise Baptist and Harmony Grove Methodist. Her passion has always been teaching young children in one way or another, so she decided to continue her education at Mercer University. She received her Master in the Art of Teaching degree in the winter of 2008.

Mrs. Payne feels blessed to teach at a place where learning is a joyful experience, God is glorified, and children are taught to serve others.

She and her husband David have been married for 7 years and have three beautiful daughters, Alexis, Tanya, and Mary. Email Mrs. Theresa Payne
