Steven comes from a wide variety of experience in both ministry and corporate business. He has enjoyed 14 years of ministry serving as a senior pastor, youth and children’s pastor, and as a Christian school principal. Another 16 years were spent in the corporate world with positions in local, regional and national level operations management and as a national director of training.
With a B.A. and a M.A. in Biblical Studies and a Doctorate of Christian Ministries, Steven rarely mentions his education. He is quick to note that while degrees have merit, one cannot be fully equipped for the ministry and the job God has given us and forget our total dependency upon Him. He emphasizes that we should “study to show ourselves approved…” and should be “lifelong learners” yet we have the many blessings of life by the mercy and grace of God. One of his favorite things to share regarding education is, “What we have learned means little. It’s what we do with it that counts.” He encourages students to learn all they can and (from that knowledge) give back to others.
