Tales of the Mighty Mississippi!

Big River, Old Man River, most important river in USA history. Where does it come from, where does it go?

Cross & Crown School’s elementary students will take an imaginary trip with magician David Ginn on an 1850s showboat complete with gamblers, magical fun, and characters like Sam Clemens, Tom Sawyer, and Huckleberry Finn. Our students will laugh and learn about America’s favorite 19th century writer, Mark Twain, and even help David find Tom Sawyer’s pirate treasure! Wait a minute! What ELSE is hiding in that buried treasure chest?

The fun-filled learning experience will be on Monday, August 15, at 10 AM. We’re asking each student to bring $6 to help with the expenses.
